Intensive English Programme (IEP)
ELEC's flagship and most popular course — a structured intensive English programme covering grammar, conversation, pronunciation, reading, writing, and listening comprehension. Delivered in small classes of maximum 15 students with 5 hours of teaching per day (45-minute lessons). Student visas (6 months or 1 year) are issued directly by ELEC for all IEP students — a rare and valuable advantage.
IELTS Preparation
A dedicated IELTS preparation course covering all four components — Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking — with exam strategies, test techniques, and practice under timed conditions. Ideal for students who have completed the upper intermediate or advanced levels of the IEP and are ready to sit the IELTS exam for university admission in Malaysia or abroad.
Individual English Programme (1-on-1)
One-on-one English classes designed to suit specific needs in terms of course length and content. Students can request special emphasis on a particular language skill or area. Also suitable for younger students (under 17) and pre-beginners who have not yet learned the English alphabet. The most personalised learning experience available at ELEC.
Business English
A professional English course covering business conversation, letter and email writing, trading phrases, idioms, negotiation, and presentation skills. Two schedule options: Weekdays (Mon/Wed/Fri, 2:30–4:30pm, 12 sessions/month) or Saturdays (9am–12:15pm, 4 sessions/month). Ideal for professionals and students planning to work in international business environments.
Mandarin (Chinese) Language
A fully integrated Mandarin programme using a course book, workbook, and multimedia CD-ROM. Three stages: Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Chinese. Ideal for students who want to learn the world's most widely spoken language during their time in Malaysia — providing an additional valuable credential alongside their English studies.
Malay Language
An accessible Malay language course designed for international students living in Malaysia. Malay is one of the easier languages to learn — conversational ability can be achieved in around 100 hours of study. Learning basic Malay significantly enhances daily life in Malaysia and is a practical advantage for students planning to stay long-term.
